Sheinelle Jones is co-host of "Good Day." She joined the FOX 29 team in July 2005 as a general assignment reporter for the show. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Wichita, Kansas.

Prior to joining FOX 29, she was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was an anchor for KOKI-FOX 23's 5pm newscast and a reporter for the late evening newscast. While there, she was awarded top place for outstanding news reporting and overall excellence from the National Association of Black Journalists and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She also received an investigative reporting award from the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Prior to working in Tulsa, Sheinelle was a morning anchor and reporter for WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois.

Her interest in television journalism began when she was in high school and began interning at the USD 259 local school district station in Wichita, Kansas. At age 16, she learned how to edit, write and co-anchored a show. She did an internship every summer after that until she graduated from college.

A 2000 graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Sheinelle majored in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in Spanish.

Sheinelle is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the Philadelphia Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She is very active in the community and takes a special interest in activities involving education and kids.

In 2008 she was honored by a local state senator for her work in the community, and has moderated several political debates and forums, including the 2008 Philadelphia mayoral race and Pennsylvania's 2010 gubernatorial election. In 2010, one of Philly's popular radio stations, 95.7 Ben-FM, honored her as one of its "Women of the Week."

Among her favorite interview subjects are entertainer Bill Cosby and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

When she's not in the studio or volunteering in a classroom, she spends her time with her husband and young son.
