Atlanta Weather Forecast

Atlanta Weather Forecast - Wednesday

The howling winds of Tuesday have tapered off, but the colder air is here to stay a little longer.  After morning temperatures in the low 30s (approaching the record low for this date of 31 in Atlanta!), temperatures will rebound to nearly 60 degrees thanks to abundant sunshine.  Winds will be out of the east today and will pick up after sunrise into the 10-15 mph range for the afternoon.

Temperatures will return to the 30s tonight, however, most areas will stay above freezing.  Even so, a few patches of frost aren't out of the question for Thursday morning.  A minor increase in clouds can be expected as winds take on a more northeasterly direction.

Skies will be overcast by Friday as a wedge of cool air takes hold around an area of high pressure anchored in the northeastern US. While some drizzle cannot be ruled out, any steady, widespread measurable rain should stay to our south.

The wedge of cool air breaks for the Easter weekend.  We should get two beautiful weekend days with plentiful sunshine and near-normal temperatures (lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s)!

The best chance of rain in our extended forecast comes Monday with the next cold front.  Scattered showers and possible thundershowers will be expected from Monday into Tuesday.
