Police say a shelter manager was found stabbed to death on the Upper West Side early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the Camden Residence Hotel on 206 West 95th Street around 12:30 a.m. and found 56-year-old John Baisley with multiple stab wounds.

EMS arrived at the scene and took Baisley to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

34-year-old Bernardo Paulino was caught and arrested at the scene and was taken to Metropolitan Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say Paulino attacked Baisley because he tried to evict him for destroying property.

Paulino was charged with second-degree murder.
