ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A motorcycle crash and subsequent fire has claimed the life of an Orange County man. It happened around 5 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Landstreet Road and Gills Drive.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say the motorcyclist, identified only as a 67-year-old Orlando resident, slammed into a Cadillac after switching lanes. The motorcycle came to rest and caught on fire. The driver received third-degree burns over most of his body and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment, where he later died.
This crash remains under investigation.
