A construction worker standing on State Road 417 was hospitalized Wednesday night after a driver struck him and did not stop, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A white pickup truck was traveling south on the roadway near Colonial Drive when it struck Robert Thacker, 52, of Lake Mary, who was standing in a lane closure in a construction zone.
The driver fled the scene, and the FHP is investigating.
