Florida has become the latest state to receive more than 25,000 signatures on its White House petition asking to secede from the Union.
As of Wednesday morning, Florida's petition has more than 28,000 signatures. It's unclear how many of those signees are from Florida.
Another two dozen petitions represent secession requests from other states.
Under the "We the People" program launched last year, the White House will respond to any petition that receives at least 25,000 signatures within 30 days.
Anyone older than 13 can create a petition at petitions.whitehouse.gov.
More than 130 petitions have been filed at the site, including one called, "Deport everyone that signed a petition to withdraw their state from the United States of America."
