ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A pastor at a popular Orlando-area church has resigned after admitting to an affair with a former church staffer, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Isaac Hunter, the son of presidential spiritual advisor and pastor of Northland Church Joel Hunter, stepped down this week as head pastor at Summit Church. The church made the announcement on its blog Wednesday.

Hunter started Summit in 2002 with friends from his youth-ministry days in his father's Longwood mega-church.  It has since grown with five locations and more than 4,000 worshippers.

Hunter, 35, is a married father of three.  Read more at OrlandoSentinel.com.
