POTTSTOWN, Pa. -

People who have had a hard time making ends meet and in need of a little holiday cheer received a hot meal and even some toys thanks to the work of a Montgomery County charity.

Chosen 300 Ministries took care of dozens of Pottstown area families Tuesday night at the Heart of God Worship Center.

The center played host to dozens of families who were able to enjoy a warm holiday meal that's usually hard to come by in these tough economic times.

Kiesha Womack tells FOX 29's Dave Kinchen she wasn't sure how she would give her family a Christmas, if it hadn't been for the charity.

"It's wonderful being out here, being in the community," she said.

Organizers say the majority of families who spent Christmas with Chosen 300 Ministries are struggling to get by this holiday season.

Chosen 300 Ministries says 150 people attended the Tuesday benefit, which is a new record for the organization.

The group is also known for their work caring for the homeless in Philadelphia.
