CANTON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in north Georgia are investigating the death of a newborn baby girl.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/XJZG9Q ) reports Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call Monday about an unresponsive infant. Authorities performed CPR on the 3-week-old baby before she was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the cause of the infant's death has not yet been determined and an autopsy was performed Tuesday. No charges have been filed.
