PHILADELPHIA -

The son of a former police commissioner is at the center of a housing scandal.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's office tells FOX 29 that 49-year-old Steven Johnson, the son of former police commissioner Sylvester Johnson, is wanted for allegedly stealing properties within city limits by changing the names on the deeds.

Johnson would have had access to the deeds while working in the sheriff's office, investigators said.

Zachary Stokes, Oscar Ketter and Elhadi Ibriham were already arrested in connection to the case.

The DA says Jonson was charged, but is currently not in custody.

Investigators say, in many instances, the signatures on the notary public on the deeds were forged and counterfeit stamps were used, so bogus deeds could be recorded as public record.
