ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Falcons' playoff win brings more than just bragging rights; the success of the team is a jolt to the local economy as well as the city's image.

More than 2,000 Georgia Dome employees will receive another paycheck thanks to the Falcons win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Despite being disappointed with the final score, Seahawks fans gave high marks to the city of Atlanta.

"It's been great. We have been treated nice and it's a wonderful and beautiful city," said Bernie Hawk, the Seahawks Chapter President.

Local bars, restaurants and hotels will get an additional boost this week with Atlanta hosting the San Francisco 49ers.

"The phones started ringing early this morning for reservations so we are getting reservations in, placing orders in," said Sean Fowler, the general manager of Stats Bar.

Herman Hall of the Hilton Garden Inn said that visiting fans often visit area attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium or the World of Coke.

The Falcons and downtown city leaders say the team's success creates community pride.

"You've got 24 hour coverage across all media platforms talking about Atlanta up until the game," said Dan Corso of the Atlanta Sports Council.

The Falcons are set to take on the 49ers this Sunday. If you can't get tickets, be sure to watch the game on FOX 5 beginning at 2 p.m.
