POINCIANA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Deputies arrested a man Tuesday in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in Poinciana.

Lyndon Scott is at the Osceola County Jail, charged with armed sexual battery and armed burglary in the Monday attack.

Deputies say Scott lives just a few miles from the victim's home. They say he came to the victim's home Monday and repeatedly rang the doorbell. The victim recognized him as someone who had previously come to her home, asking to use the phone.

Frightened, she didn't answer the door and hid. Scott then entered the victim's home and forced her to perform a sex act, investigators say.

Area residents told Fox 35 they had seen Scott around the neighborhood before, knocking on doors and asking to use the phone.
