CARROLLTON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 70-year-old Georgia man has died in an early morning house fire in Carrollton.
Firefighters found the body of Alvin Driver in his living room early Saturday. Firefighters were called to Driver's home on Foster Street at about 5 a.m.
Carroll County Coroner Sammy Eady says Driver was a widower and nobody else was in the house. He says the fire started in another part of the home and spread by burning through the ceiling.
Authorities did not immediately say what caused the fire.
