The Fit Bit tracker is one of those. It can sync with a scale to your smart phone and computer to help give you see if you have met your goals.
Jawbone makes a wrist band called the Jawbone Up. It is essentially the same thing as the Fit Bit with a different interface.
These tracking devices are about to become so sophisticated this year that a wrist band will soon be able identify the exercise you are doing, count the reps and track your workouts.

Gyms are full of tech gadgets these days. The treadmills at Go Performance have built-in Android tablets and HD televisions.
The treadmill links to Google Maps, so you can plot your route and the treadmill reads the elevation changes. The tablet then shows you a street view and you can run courses all over the world.
There are also gadgets that will track your sleep each night, there a blood pressure cuffs that will sync to your smartphone.
