Caught on video: Light fixture crashes down on high school wrestler

Posted: Updated:

A high school wrestler gets taken down during a match,  but not by another wrestler.  Instead, he gets knocked down by a light fixture.

In a video recording, you can see Michael McComish, a senior at Madison High School in Madison, South Dakota, getting on his hands and knees.  All of a sudden, the light comes crashing down on top of him.

The referee and other wrestler quickly lift the fixture, and McComish walks away.

He ended up needing more than 15 stitches on his forehead and the back of his head, but he's expected to be OK.
