NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Brandon Santana, a murder suspect who pushed a cop and then ran away from the 78th Precinct station house on Thursday morning, has been recaptured, the NYPD said.

The Regional Fugitive Task Force captured Santana in the Bronx at about 3:15 p.m. Friday, police said.

Santana, 24, originally had been arrested on Wednesday for the August 1, 2010, murder of Alexander Santiago in Park Slope.

The officer who was shoved in the escape received minor injuries and was treated at Methodist Hospital, police said.
