DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A 19-year-old was killed in one fatal accident on Saturday on Ridgewood Avenue in Daytona Beach, and another woman was injured in a separate accident on George Ingram just three hours later.
Daytona Beach police say the 19-year-old was riding her bike across Ridgewood Avenue, in front of a city Leisure Services Van when she was struck and killed.
Detectives said she died instantly. Then around 7:30 p.m., a woman tried walking across George Ingram, about a mile away, when she was hit by an SUV.
She was knocked unconscious, but is expected to be okay. FOX 35 Reporter Kelly Joyce has the story.
