Phoenix Zoo welcomes baby zebra

PHOENIX -

The Phoenix Zoo is welcoming a new addition to its family. It's becoming the new home to an endangered animal.

A brand new baby Grevy's zebra went on display to the public on Monday. He becomes the 19th zebra born in the zoo.

Weighing in at 100 pounds, the baby zebra's name will be chosen depending on three bags of treats its mother chooses to eat from -- each has a different name on the bag.

The name will be selected Wednesday morning.

Only 2,500 Grevy's zebras are left in the wild.
