ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

An Orlando man was arrested on a warrant Monday night. David Lee Givens, 45, is the suspect in a crash that killed one pedestrian and sent another to the hospital almost five months ago.

The crash happened the night of Sunday, September 16, when two people sitting on a bus bench on Millenia Boulevard were struck by a car. Both were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where one died.

Orlando Police said Givens caused the crash. An arrest report indicates he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

OPD also said they used video from security cameras at a nearby car dealership to determine that Givens was driving at a minimum speed of 51.7 mph just seconds before the crash. The posted speed limit on this part of Millenia Boulevard is 35 mph.

Givens was booked into the Orange County Jail, charged with DUI manslaughter, DUI with personal injury and speeding. If convicted, Givens could face up to 15 years in prison.
