NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Pa. -
Police in Bethlehem say an accused serial rapist already charged in two attacks used Facebook to find his victims. Investigators now believe there may be other victims.
According to investigators, 20-year-old David Martinez already faces charges in connection to the attacks of two girls.
During a Wednesday press conference, police announced the separate attacks occurred last year, shortly after Martinez allegedly befriended the girls online. Investigators accuse him of raping a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old inside of his Maple Street home.
Martinez, according to police, blamed his hormones and referred to himself as a sex addict. Police say he indicated there could be more victims.
"He said whenever he was in the presence of a woman, he felt he had to have sex and that he felt sorry about it to some degree, but felt he could not control himself," Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said.
Martinez is now in jail on a $200,000 bail. Authorities hope any possible victims will call the Bethlehem Police Department.
