ATLANTA -

There is usually nothing romantic about a smart phone, but with Valentine's Day coming up, it is a necessity. Some need all the help they can get when it comes to making it romantic and there are some new apps to help.

The biggest problem some have is planning a romantic evening out. There are two app which can help with last minute plans.

The first is Fandango which allows users to order tickets from their smart phone or tablet for upcoming shows. It also gives reviews, show times, and in-depth information on upcoming showings for a nearby theater.

The other is Urban Spoon which gives dinner ideas and reviews of restaurants.

A good thing to remember though is that Valentine's Day is very busy for both industries, so make sure to purchase tickets and make reservations early.

And on a Windows 8 Nokia phone, there is a function called City Limits which allows the user to see the restaurants nearby like a radar screen.

If you are looking for a good gift for a love one, Verizon is actually offering the Nokia phone for free and a $100 off a 7-inch Samsung tablet.
