Two women were stabbed during a domestic dispute Monday morning in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.
The stabbings happened about 4:58 a.m. in the 7000 block of South Green Street, said police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
A 22-year-old woman was outside knocking on a rear door of the apartment when a 27-year-old woman opened the door and began stabbing her, police said.
A third woman inside the apartment was unharmed but witnessed the stabbing, police said..
The 22-year-old woman suffered a collapsed lung and multiple lacerations to her head, hand, arm, back and upper torso, police said.
The 27-year-old woman sustained a stab wound to the middle of her left leg, police said.
The 22-year-old woman was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and the 27-year-old was taken in serious condition to St. Bernard Hospital and Heath Care Center.
