SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -
Scottsdale Police are warning residents about a home burglar who is striking residences between Shea Blvd and Mountain View Road, from 108th Street to 128th Street.
Since December of 2012 until the beginning of February, 10 homes have been burglarized. The burglar entered the home from the backyard either by smashing a rear window or twice opening an unlocked door.
No one was home when the burglaries took place. Scottsdale Police believe the suspect or suspects have been watching the homes to make sure the resident has left.
The suspect is mainly targeting valuables in the master bedroom.

Scottsdale Police are reminding residents not to leave jewelry in plain view and to keep valuables in a safe. They also suggest having a home alarm, motion sensor lights, and gates that can lock.
