SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) -
A South Daytona man was arrested over the weekend for beating and berating his own elderly mother.
Bradley Fasciana, 54, is charged with elderly abuse, aggravated battery and assault.
The 73-year-old victim told police that the abuse has been going on for weeks, but that her son had done something to the phone, so she could not call for help. A friend who stopped by this past weekend fixed the phone, and the victim called police.
Police said when they showed up, the woman had bruises all over her body. The victim said Fasciana punched her with a closed fist and hit her by backing up into her with her car. The victim told police the abuse has been going on for months, but gets worse when her son is drinking.
Fasciana remains in the Volusia County Jail.
