CHOP Opens Playground At KOP Mall

Posted: Updated:

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia celebrated the opening of its sponsored play area at the King of Prussia Mall with ribbon-cutting and face-painting Friday morning.

The new CHOP play area brings in colorful play elements to encourage creative play and exercise while out for a day at the mall. The 1,200 square foot area features a replica of the hospital, an ambulance, and a rescue helicopter, all brought together with tunnels, climbing walls, and slides.

The opening included remarks from CHOP oncologist Julie Stern and Pennsylvania State Representative, Tim Briggs. Children enjoyed activities like face painting, balloon animals, and playing with all the new toys.
