Around 200 people gathered for a benefit concert at a Sanford church, to help increase the reward in the murder case of a Navy officer. Jeffrey Guzman, 22, was shot and killed back in 2011.
He had just dropped off his girlfriend at her home in Orlando. Detectives have not identified a suspect.
They say Perez was most likely a victim of mistaken identity. Saturday night several musicians and restaurants donated their time and money to help the family.
His sister Emily Guzman still has hope that an arrest will be made.
"It has been extremely tough, it's been a huge shock for our family, it's so hard to go on in life knowing that someone who was there for you is not their anymore. And what else can I say its very difficult," Emily Guzman said.
