51-year-old woman killed in Brooklyn home

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD has arrested a man in connection with the murder of his wife in Brooklyn. 

Ian Robinson, 58,  was arrested on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon after his wife, Hazel Robinson, 51, was found slashed in the throat around 11:45 a.m. inside their Carnarsie home. 

Officers were called to the location responding to a report of an assault in progress.  Robinson was found unconscious and unresponsive with severe injuries to her neck. 

Her husband was inside the home on East 102nd Street near Seaview Avenue when police arrived.

They took him into custody for questioning. He was later charged.
