NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -
The musical "Les Misérables" is coming back to Broadway in 2014, according to a report.
Capitalizing on the success of the blockbuster film, which is nominated for several Academy Awards, producer Cameron Mackintosh is aiming to open the revival a Broadway theater in March 2014, according to the New York Times Arts Beat blog.
The musical had a short-lived and somewhat maligned revival in 2006 that lasted 14 months.
The original production, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, ran on Broadway from 1987 to 2003.
