Gun safety rally held in Lawrenceville

Posted: Updated:
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -

Two months after the mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school, folks in Gwinnett County held a rally against gun violence.

Protestors held handmade signs and banners calling for Congress to toughen gun laws.

The demonstrators say they want "common sense" laws, like reducing ammo clip sizes and creating greater safety regulations.

During his State of the Union address, President Barack Obama called on Congress to act on his recommendations to curb gun violence.
