Puppy stolen from pet store on Long Island

DIX HILLS, N.Y. (AP) -

Police are pursuing a person who pilfered a puppy from a pet store.

The Suffolk County PD issued a photo Friday of a woman at Yipity Yap in Dix Hills on Feb. 17.

The woman had a big, dark-colored bag hanging off her arm.

After she left, a black purebred Pug was missing.

The dog is valued at $1,800.

The Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to a conviction is up to $5,000.
