Work Study, Grant Programs Cut For Low-Income Students

The sequester is putting the squeeze on students' financial aid for college.
In fact, if your child has already received an aid letter, that number could change.
A total of $86 million has been cut from work study and grant programs for low-income students
Students are being advised that they should apply for scholarships and alternative funding.
Financial expert Dan Roccato of Quaker Wealth Management, visited "Good Day" Thursday morning to talk about the issue.
Roccato says students might need part-time jobs instead of work study. He also had some tips for parents and discussed whether we should invest in the market with the Dow reaching a new record high this week.
