An elderly man has been missing for nearly two weeks from his South Side Woodlawn neighborhood home.
John Williams, 76, was last seen leaving his home Feb. 26 in the 1400 block of East Marquette Road, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
Williams, whose nickname is "R," frequents the area near the McDonald's Restaurant at 6560 S. Stony Island Ave. and the 67th Street One Stop Food & Liquor at 1508 E 67th St., the alert said.
Williams was described as African American with a medium complexion, 5-foot-7, 290 pounds with brown eyes and a bald head, the alert said.
He was last seen wearing a black coat and black pants, the alert said.
