In Berks County, Kutztown University is beefing up security after a recent string of attacks against students.
And the violence appears to be escalating.
What may be even scarier is that cops aren't sure it's all the work of the same thugs.
News of the assaults spread quickly around campus mostly because this kind of thing doesn't happen often.
But the disturbing thing in all of this is that university officials and police don't think the incidents are random, and that at least two of the students may have been targeted.
FOX 29's Stephanie Salvatore was live at Kutztown on Friday night with student reaction to this rash of assaults.
On March 7, three armed men forced their way into a dorm in Deatrick Hall. A resident was struck by one of the suspects before they searched the room and left without taking anything.
A second incident occurred outside Dixon Hall a few days later. A student says a guy pushed and struck him before running away.
The third incident happened this past Wednesday in an open area in front of Old Main. A student was approached from behind by two men, who pulled a knife before running off campus.
University officials say they're not sure if the incidents are related, but they do think it's unusual for none of the suspects to not take anything from the victims.
Kutztown will be beefing up police patrol on their already well-lit campus in hopes of reducing any more incidents.
