CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A store in Australia is charging its customers even if they don't buy anything.

Seliac Supplies, located in Brisbane, posted a sign informing shoppers of a new fee for "just looking" at its gluten-free goods.

The store owners say the $5 per person browsing fee exists to prevent people from "showrooming," or, looking at items in a brick-and-mortar store but making the purchase online.

The owner says she can immediately tell which people are coming in to pick her brain and disappear from the ones who will purchase something.

The sign also says that customers who do make a purchase will be reimbursed the $5 fee.

The Australia Retailers Association say in the long run, the idea is not a good one, especially for small businesses who cater to their customers.
