STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) - Thousands of people turned out for the annual Easter sunrise service at a unique location: Georgia's Stone Mountain.
FOX 5 News cameras were there as hundreds attended the two services. The rain and wind may have kept the crowd thinner than usual, but many still gathered on the peak of Stone Mountain for the 69th annual event.
Many worshippers showed up in coats and hats with chairs and blankets.
The service atop the giant chunk of exposed granite included songs, a sermon and prayers.
A second service was held at the base of the mountain.
