ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A body found near a pond off International Drive has been ruled a homicide, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
A father and son visiting Orlando from North Carolina were on their way to go fishing Sunday afternoon when they found a man's body in a wooded area by a retention pond near the 11600 block of I-Drive.
Investigators think the body was there for less than a week. The victim is a 5-feet, 7-inch Hispanic man who weighed about 175 pounds. His age has not been determined. The body had a surgical scar on his stomach, they said.
