NEWARK, Del. -

Delaware State Police say the 25-year-old suspect who is accused of robbing the Louviers Federal Credit Union Monday morning was caught by troopers 10 minutes later in a development not far from the robbery.

According to police, Anthony Diorio of Wilmington was arrested in connection to the robbery, in which a man walked into the credit union on Kirkwood Highway at 11:23 a.m. and presented a teller with a note.

Police say the note indicated that the teller would "get killed" if she did not comply with the robber's demands.

The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the bank.

Police say 10 minutes later, at 11:33 a.m., troopers spotted a man who matched the description of the suspect in the Green Valley development, which sits next to the credit union.

Diorio was taken into custody after a brief foot chase and was found to have the cash connected to the robbery in a pants pocket, police said.
