A Cocoa Beach teenager who was last seen by her parents before going to bed Sunday night around 10 p.m., has been found and safely returned to her family.
The mother of 14-year-old Jordan Taylor Fagan said she last saw her daughter in the girl's bedroom last night, but when she went to wake her daughter around 7:30 this morning, the teenager was gone. The only clue was that the screen to her bedroom window had been cut and family had feared that the girl may have been kidnapped.
The mother called 911, and police brought in several agencies to assist in the search. The sheriff's bloodhounds were given one of the teen's t-shirts as a reference, and then the dogs went searching for her scent.
Police said tips and leads started coming in after they announced the young student was missing. Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and sheriff's deputies then started chasing down those leads.
A Brevard County Sheriff's deputy located Fagan walking westward along State Road 528, picked the teen up and returned her to her home.
