No kids injured when school bus, squad car collide

No children were injured, and three adults suffered only minor injuries, when a school bus and a Chicago Police squad car collided in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The crash between the squad car and the school bus happened about 7:50 a.m. in the 4200 block of South King Drive, according to police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.

A police officer was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, Estrada said.

The school bus driver and another adult on the bus were taken to Mercy Hospital, also in good condition with minor injuries.

No children were injured, Estrada said. The ages of the children on the bus were not immediately known. Following the crash they were evaluated on the scene and then taken safely to school.
