AURORA, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

One man was critically injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in west suburban Aurora.

The three-vehicle crash happened about 4:10 p.m. at Ogden Avenue and Waterford Drive, according to a statement from Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli.

A Pontiac Bonneville traveling east on Ogden Avenue attempted to make a left turn onto Waterford Drive, but collided with a westbound BMW, police said.

The force of the crash pushed a Bonneville into a Chevrolet Suburban stopped at a light at the intersection, according to police.

A 59-year-old passenger in the Bonneville was hospitalized in critical condition, police said. Two other people suffered minor injuries.

One westbound lane of Ogden Avenue remained closed about 6 p.m., according to police.
