BOSTON -

Two people have been reported killed and many more are being taken to local hospitals for treatment after two explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line.

It all started about several hours after the winners finished the race.

There was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street just before the finish line.

Another explosion erupting came just seconds after.

Runners and spectators alike are still reeling from the chaos that took place.

One man said, "We heard both explosions, about maybe 15 seconds apart, and felt them in the building. We were right down the middle of the street here. The police just came and evacuated us from the building."

A woman said, "It sounded like a big crash, a big boom. And then everyone just stopped, so as soon as you got out of the tent, people were panicking and crying. It was really hard to know what was going on. A lot of volunteers didn't yet know what was going on."

Another man said, "They were separate from each other, a few seconds – a few seconds. You heard one in the distance, somebody said, you know, 'Did you hear that?' And then the second one went off afterward and it shook the building."
