In Interview, Ramsey Praises Boston Police Department

Philadelphia police commissioner Charles Ramsey praised the work of the Boston Police Department Sunday in an interview on Fox News.

Ramsey called the decision to shut down the city of Boston Friday to search for the suspect a bold move, but said it was the right move.

Ramsey also said surveillance cameras and social media will be critical in the investigation because they can help piece together the sequence of events, any possible participants and additional witnesses.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was taken into custody Friday night in Watertown. Police were able to track Tsarnaev to a boat parked in a resident's backyard. Tsarnaev's brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, died during a shootout with police early Friday morning, officials said.

The 19-year-old suspect was listed in "serious condition" as of Sunday, according to the FBI. Tsarnaev is being treated at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
