National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Posted: Updated:

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Officials are reminding the public to not flush prescription drugs down the toilet or drain, unless the label or accompanying patient information specifically instructs you to do so.
