ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WJBK) -

There were tense moments in an Allen Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon.  Police stopped by a home to check on a woman that family members reported missing.  They said she was visiting a man that lived there, a man she had recently met online.

Allen Park police said the man opened the door, asked them to wait, then came back with a gun.

An officer fired a shot, but no one was hit.  Police said the man went back inside, then the woman came out with a gun.  Allen Park police eventually arrested the two, and thankfully no one was hurt.

Police told us the man and woman involved were just too intoxicated to interview Thursday afternoon, so they most likely will do that Friday morning before their arraigned.
