DETROIT (WJBK) -

Two men are accused of breaking one of the Ten Commandments outside the Quickening Spirit Church of God in Christ on Fenkell near Livernois in northwest Detroit.

A woman said "the power was cut" while parishioners were inside praying.

We're told the preacher's adult son ran into the alley behind the church and found two guys with a 30 foot aluminum ladder.  One guy was disconnecting cables and lines.  It sure looked like the work of scrap thieves breaking the commandment "thou shalt not steal."

Detroit police responded quickly and said two guys ages 61 and 59 were caught in the act stealing wire.  They were arrested.

The parishioners found their way out through the dark church, locked the door and went home for the night.
