Middle-school girl discusses what's next for gay-straight club

Posted: Updated:

Bayli Silberstein, 14, fought for more than a year to form a gay-straight club at her Lake County middle school.

She had been pushing to start a Gay-Straight Alliance at Carver Middle School.

Last Thursday, the Lake School Board decided to allow the club until the end of the school year.

And Monday, county leaders will discuss what will happen next year, after Bayli graduates from Carver and moves on to high school.

Bayli sat down with Good Day Orlando's Amy Kaufeldt to talk about her experience and what comes next.
