PITTSBURGH -

A Pennsylvania father plans to put himself in his daughter's shoes for the Pittsburgh Marathon.

More than 6,000 athletes will run in the marathon, but one person has decided to sacrifice his sight.

Mike Bruno, 44, will run blindfolded with his friend serving as his seeing guide.

The two will be bound to one another throughout the race.

Mike has a 7-your-old daughter who is legally blind and says she's his inspiration.

"I was walking a couple of years back on the trail and I attempted to walk with my eyes closed to experience what my daughter Cassie does on a daily basis," Bruno said.

Mike hopes his run will help raise money for Cassie and countless others kids.
