CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

A pool of blood marks Clinton Township's first homicide in 14 months.  24-year-old Willie Clark, Junior was shot once in the chest during an argument that started while he was taking his two-year-old daughter to a Cinco de Mayo party for kids.

"Did she see her father die," I asked Terrance Stephens, one of the victim's best friends.

"Yes," he said.

"They knew each other and instead of talking it out, the young man shot him," said neighbor Yalonda McCoy.  "It was crazy."

The shot was fired just before 7:00 p.m. at the crowded Prince Drewry Park.

Clark's best friends called 911 for an ambulance, but quickly changed their minds, loading him into a friend's truck and speeding to McLaren Macomb Hospital.  They knew they were running out of time.

"He wasn't responding at all.  He was foaming from the mouth and everything," Stephens said.

Clark was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Clinton Township Police have signed an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Terry Lamont Wilson, also of Clinton Township.  He will be charged with open murder and two counts of felony firearm.  Police are sorting through tips that he may have skipped town.
