Gwinnett County police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for multiple rapes.Gwinnett officers, along with Gwinnett Sheriff's deputies and U.S. Marshals arrested Joseph Sivonda at a Duluth apartment complex."We were sure he was in there through hours of surveillance and investigative techniques. Went in and got him," said Inspector Gavin Duffy of the U.S. Marshals.Sivonda, 23, is accused of raping and robbing at least five women, according to police.A Norcross area complex off Castor Drive was the site of multiple sexual assaults, police said.Investigators believe Sivonda used a website to arrange encounters with women he planned to attack. They'd show up to meet him and then he would allegedly assault and rob them at gunpoint. "This was a serial rapist raping people from the internet that he met online," said Duffy.Sivonda faces two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated sodomy and two counts of rape. Authorities believe there may be more victims. They hope the arrest will help them come forward without fear. The woman Sivonda was staying with is charged with hindering the apprehension of a felon.
