Movie Critic Matt Atchity: 'Gatsby' Is Over The Top, Not Great

Posted: Updated:

How Great is "The Great Gatsby"? Matt Atchity told Steve and Maria that critics are not loving this latest version of the classic book starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Matt talks about parts of the movie he says are amazing but adds other parts are slow and painfully boring.

Matt says critics that love it are all in....those that are mixed enjoyed the whole thing. Craig Robinson stole the show in "Hot Tub Time Machine" and is the star of Tyler Perry's new comedy "Peeples". Critics say this comedy commits the ultimate comedy sin: it's not funny. So what's good in theaters this weekend? Matt says "Iron Man 3" is still your best bet. He says it's a fun witty ride that both audiences and critics are loving. He also compares it to one of Steve's favorite movies that also stars Robert Downey Junior.

Atchity is the editor in chief for the pop-culture website "Rotten Tomatoes." He also hosts a new show on Sirius XM called "Rotten Tomatoes Radio."

The weekly one hour call in show airs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
